DARTIST *should* do this, but a quick inspectin of do_tag() makes it look like none of the tagging backends use it. I could probably whip up a patch that does it for the backends I use (and which support it; e.g. opusenc has no albumartist option), but I'm still waiting to hear from Steve about my first patch and dont wan't to work on a bunch of new patches until I'm sure I'm doing it the Right Way. -Jason From aidenn0 at yahoo.com Fri Nov 12 01:44:30 2021 From: aidenn0 at yahoo.com (Jason Miller) Date: Thu, 11 Nov 2021 17:44:30 -0800 Subject: [Abcde-users] Additional Tags (AlbumArtist) In-Reply-To: <20211111164928.GB1049167@mutsumi> References: <20211111164928.GB1049167@mutsumi> Message-ID: <20211111174430.GD1049167@mutsumi> On Thu, 11 Nov 2021 16:49:28 -0800 Jason Miller wrote: > On Sat, 23 Oct 2021 20:35:40 -0400 Thomas M wrote: > > Is there a way to additionally tag tracks or whole discs outside what's > > available when editing CDDB data? Correction, just putting the artist before the "/" in the DTITLE sets DARTIST. However, everything I said about DARTIST not being used at all for tagging remains true. -Jason
