[Abcde-users] How to add Year and Genre when ripping

I don't rely on Musicbrainz or any external database, but get the album name 
and song titles from the CDTEXT on the CD, but that never seems to have the
date or genre info, so I'd like to add it manually.  I've tried asking in
the pre_read () function, and then using the answers entered to set various
variables later, but when I query the .ogg files they never have values for
year or genre.  I've tried to set year, YEAR, CDYEAR, genre, CDGENRE, in
pre_read(), post_read(), post_encode() functions, but nothing I've tried
makes it to the final output.

I can show the various settings I have in my local .abcde.conf if it helps.
