They apply to all releases found by any of the requested methods, ie
musicbrainz, cddb and cdtext
They're called cddb choices generally as that was the first lookup method.
Here's a sample from a disc I just used for testing:
#2 (Musicbrainz): ---- Santana / Santana's Greatest Hits (1990) ----
#8 (cddb): ---- Santana / Santana's Greatest Hits (1974) ----
It's really helpful for me. I can see the earliest release date and
edit that into whichever choice I make.
This is what the help looks like:
Which entry would you like abcde to use? [0-10 or h for help]: h
0: Continue with no match; you will have the option to input metadata manually.
<number>: Continue with the selected match; you will be able to make
adjustments.
<n>,<m>: Show a diff between entries n and m, e.g. 1,2 or 3,5.
l: Show the list of entries again.
h: Show this help text.
