I appreciate the screenshots, but I think that only tells us what kid3 
(https://kid3.kde.org/, right?) presents when parsing the id3 tags of 
those files, and what those screenshots suggest to me is that kid3 
recognizes the tags on those files just as well with both files.

Am I missing something? Is there something different between those two 
that you think is causing the problem that you're having with your media 
player indexing files produced by abcde?
