Hi Gena,
I can't help you specifically with the perl version conflict, but I
would suggest using VirtualBox to run an Ubuntu 22.04 virtual machine
and pass through the CDROM device. (I assume you have a USB CDROM).
That is a well tested environment and will save you installing perl
versions that might bite you down the track.
