That all seemed to work fine on the expo laptop
[ 0.000000] Linux version 4.9.0-9-amd64 (debian-kernel at lists.debian.org)
(gcc version 6.3.0 20170516 (Debian 6.3.0-18+deb9u1) ) #1 SMP Debian
4.9.168-1+deb9u3 (2019-06-16)

and I had done a dist-upgrade just now.

I opened a .3d file and then the About message said it was version 1.2.39
and all seems fine. How can I tell that I'm seeing the latest version?
