Which specific files do you need access to? Or better, what task are you
trying to do?
Then I can document this at the place you would be looking for it in the
handbook.
Philip
Currently documented at
http://expo.survex.com/handbook/computing/keyexchange.html
"As of the server move in spring 2019 none of us can ssh into the expo
server unless we set up ssh keys which identify the specific machine we are
logging in from.
You will need to <https://www.ssh.com/ssh/keygen/> ssh-keygen a key on your
device, email the public key to someone who already has ssh access (Wookey,
Paul Fox, Philip Sargent, Sam Wenham..) and follow their instructions.
If you are already a sophisticated user of these things, you might like to
look at
<https://dev.to/shosta/how-to-setup-multiple-ssh-keys-for-multiple-github-bi
tbucket-accounts-2ji0> How to setup multiple ssh keys."
http://expo.survex.com/handbook/upload-expert.html
" With the new server in 2019 it is harder to configure scp or sftp (or ssh
or rsync) because the server needs a key exchange setting up first. So while
scp (once working) is now more secure than it was, we are forced to allow
ordinary ftp to allow experienced but non-key-exchanged expoers' laptops or
phones to upload photos to the server. This is worse than it was as the
password is now sent in clear. "
