This is adding to the linux kernel command line.

In Debian (and possibly Ubuntu), you could add this to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub, to ensure it gets
added whenever grub.cfg gets regenerated.

Question: is the mvpp2x name used also in the upstream kernel?
