Many thanks for responding so fast.

I am rapidly reaching the limits of my knowledge base here. Please
forgive me if I have gone down the wrong path. Here goes...

So I guess UEFI version is 18.09.2

WRT uboot - I don't see any specific uboot messages.
Is reporting as BootROM 2.03 or IOROM 1.07? I suspect that is somthing
else entirely? I am assuming from your question that uboot is being
used as an initial boot loader after the 'on die' boot loader to chain
into Tianocore, but if that were the case I would have expected to see
uboot message (and an option to break into the uboot monitor shell).
Sorry I don't even know if uboot is part of the boot loader chain.

I believe that the firmware was rolled by Leif (Steve please jump in if
I am incorrect). I assume that version numbers are valid and meaningful
but do not know if there are any significant deltas I should be
informing you about i.e. compile options, device tree differences,
patches applied etc?

kernel is 4.19.0-1-arm64 - Debian stock as reported by uname
[4.19.0-1-arm64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.12-1 (2018-12-22) aarch64]
Again am I reporting the correct information?

The following was taken from the serial logs as the unit booted, and
that is where I gleamed the UEFI and possible uboot versions from
(massively cut down but these are the only lines that appear to relevant:

	BootROM - 2.03
	CP-1 IOROM 1.07
	mv_ddr: mv_ddr-armada-18.09.2-g99d7725 (Oct 11 2018 - 13:00:29)

Tianocore/EDK2 firmware version MARVELL UEFI 18.09.2

	GNU GRUB version 2.02+dfsg1-8

Many thanks

Andy
