Ok, I've got another multi-session disc that screws up my logic. It's
"Velvet Revolver / Libertad".
Here's the output of "cdrecord dev=/dev/cdrom -minfo", used only to
determine if it's normal or multi-session:

And when I do a "cd-discid /dev/sr0" it returns the following:
b110d40e 14 150 11583 26928 41511 59786 78015 91084 108806 129314 147232
165076 180559 194542 245116 4310
I suspect - but I don't know how to confirm it - that it's doing a
calculation and including the Data portion in those calcs, which would
throw it off.
Again, I'm trying NOT to have 2 CDDB files simply to get around this
problem.
I've used this over 1000 times to correctly create and edit CDDB files in
advance of the rip, but now it's screwed up 3-5 times when ripping
multi-session discs.
I realize it's successful if I skip the cleanup prework, but that avoids
the fact that the logic says "it should happen THIS way", but it doesn't -
because of this discrepancy. If I skip prework I have no way of knowing in
advance what the CDDB file will end up being so I can edit it prior to
abcde's run. The idea here is to rip and be sure it's right, not sorta
right.
Any ideas anyone? My recent post on this problem has not led to a
resolution yet, so now I have 2 discs that give me problems.
Thanks to all,
Dan
