I haven't yet sent out a public announcement of the new release, but I
aim to before the start of expo and it should be available to anyone
who wants it by about this time next week (Debian release freeze is
due to end on 6th).

There aren't any backwardly-incompatible changes in file formats etc so
there isn't a requirement that everyone is running this release, but
they may want the fixes and enhancements - e.g. the bug Frank reported
can be annoying with the increasing use of splay-based surveying.
