[Expo-tech] FTP service running on the new server

Do we have a securely-restricted FTP service running on the new server (not
requiring key generation) yet ?

Ideally this should just be to, say, expofiles/uploads/ or maybe
expofiles/documents too, but not to the entire archive of photos at
expofiles/photos/...

No it's not. They can upload the file(s) to the website, or any number of
online file/image store services.

If that's too hard they can send it to a person, as opposed to sending it to
200 people.

Yes there is. Emailing files to individuals is fine. Emailing
bigger-than-trivial files to mailing lists is stupid and I shall continue to
discourage it.

I know Ol agrees with me. Mailing lists are not an appropriate file-transfer
mechansim.

Right now I am fixing the mail server for the machine so boc can mail
passwords, then I am doing git updates and more charger soldering/battery
balancing. Then I have a cavelink loan agreement to write. And some roofing
to do. Even if I wanted the change the mailing list config it's a long way
down the list of urgent issues. Mark's doc has been dealt with as it should
have been in the first place. If anyone has any more docs, please upload
them somewhere sensible.
