[Macchiato] Latest supported distros for Macciatobin?

Hi all,

What current distros work out of the box with very little pain on the
macciatobin boards these days?
About to give my doubleshot an upgrade to something supported
(presently Fedora 30) and wondered what's going to get me a current
kernel with least pain.

Also, have there been any uefi updates recently? (in last 12 mo)
